About SIEVE SHAKER (GYRATORY TYPE)
SIEVE SHAKER (GYRATORY TYPE) :- Driven by a 0.25 H.P motor, 220 volt A.C. through a reduction gear and is suitable to carry up to 7 sieves of 6" or 8" dia. When clamped the sieve table does not rotate but is inclined from the vertical axis and the direction of inclination changes progressively in the clockwise direction. In addition to the gyratory motion of the shaker there is an upward and downward movement at a frequency of 270 r.p.m. the whole mechanism runs in oil bath and the table can be unclamped to give an additional rotary motion
Precise and Reliable Particle SeparationEngineered for accuracy, the Sieve Shaker (Gyratory Type) delivers repeatable results for laboratory particle size analysis. Its drive mechanism combines a gyratory and slight vertical motion, ensuring thorough sample agitation and separation. The heavy-duty base and quick-release clamping rods make it simple and efficient to secure and change sieves.
Convenient Operation and Robust ConstructionEquipped with both manual and automatic timer controls, this device streamlines laboratory workflows. With stainless steel and powder-coated components, it resists corrosion and ensures longevity. The unit's noise level remains below 60 dB, making it suitable for extended laboratory use without disturbance.
Safe and Standards-Compliant DesignThe Sieve Shaker features overload protection and anti-slip feet for enhanced operational safety. Designed in accordance with ISI/ISO standards, it guarantees precision, reliability, and safety for laboratory professionals. Its gear-driven mechanism and consistent speed range (120-200 rpm) further optimize the sieving process.
FAQ's of SIEVE SHAKER (GYRATORY TYPE):
Q: How does the gyratory sieve shaker operate?
A: The gyratory sieve shaker utilizes an eccentric drive with a counterweighted balance to create both gyratory and slight vertical motions. This ensures that the sample is efficiently separated through up to seven sieves, each with a 200 mm diameter, achieving accurate particle size distribution.
Q: What types of samples can be processed with this sieve shaker?
A: This sieve shaker is ideal for dry sieving of granular laboratory samples, making it perfect for particle size analysis in industries such as mining, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and materials research. The standard version is designed for dry sieving operations only.
Q: When should the automatic timer mode be selected over manual operation?
A: The automatic timer mode, adjustable from 0 to 60 minutes, is best used for routine sample processing requiring precise, reproducible timing. Manual operation is suitable for custom or short-duration tests where flexibility and hands-on control are desired.
Q: Where can this gyratory sieve shaker be used?
A: It is designed for laboratory environments, particularly in research, quality assurance, and industrial laboratories requiring accurate particle size determination. Its compact and robust build is suitable for benchtop use in facilities worldwide.
Q: What is the process for changing sieves and ensuring secure clamping?
A: Sieves are stacked vertically in the shaker and secured using quick-release and tight clamping rods. This intuitive mechanism allows for rapid changing of sieves while maintaining a tight, vibration-resistant seal during operation, ensuring safety and reliable results.
Q: How does this equipment benefit laboratory workflows?
A: The sieve shaker streamlines particle size analysis with consistent speeds (120-200 rpm), analog timer control, and a heavy-duty, low-noise operation. Its safety features and durable materials reduce maintenance needs, while compliance with ISI/ISO standards ensures trustworthy results.
Q: What safety measures are integrated in the sieve shaker design?
A: To enhance operator safety, the shaker includes overload protection circuitry and anti-slip rubber feet for improved stability during use. The powder-coated finish and robust construction further guard against wear, providing a safe and long-lasting laboratory solution.
